About this tool
What Watermark PDF does
Stamp a text watermark such as DRAFT, CONFIDENTIAL or your company name on the pages you choose. The text is drawn with a built-in PDF font, so nothing has to be installed and nothing is re-encoded: bookmarks, page labels and metadata stay exactly as they were. Angle, opacity, size and colour are yours to tune, and placement is calculated in the rotated view you see, so watermarks are never sideways on landscape scans.
- Diagonal or straightPlace the watermark at 45°, horizontal, vertical or upside down, in any of nine positions.
- Readable but not loudFour opacity steps from 10% to 50% keep the text behind the content instead of over it.
- Colour that fitsGrey, black, red or blue, so a draft mark and a confidential mark can look different.
- Structure untouchedBookmarks, page labels, metadata and page rotation are preserved; only the chosen pages get the text.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Can I use Chinese, Japanese or Korean text?
Not in this version. The built-in PDF fonts only cover Latin characters; CJK needs an embedded font file, which we do not ship yet. The tool tells you before it starts.
Does the watermark cover the content?
No. It is drawn as semi-transparent text on top of the page content, at the opacity you choose, so the document stays readable.
Does it work on landscape or rotated pages?
Yes. Placement is computed in the rotated view you see, so the watermark lines up with the visible page.
Does it change my document?
The output is a new file written in your browser. Bookmarks, page labels, metadata and rotation are preserved; the original file is never modified.
