Summary

ToolPouch keeps data collection to the minimum needed to run the site and stop abuse. There are no accounts, no profiles and no newsletter.

Analytics are provided by Google Analytics 4 and load only after you allow them. You can change or withdraw that choice at any time with the analytics settings link in the footer.

What we do not collect

We do not ask for your name, email address or payment details, because the tools are free and require no account. We do not keep copies of the files or text you process in the browser tools, and we never sell personal data or share it with data brokers.

Files processed in your browser

The subtitle, CSV and thumbnail tools read your input inside the page. Files and pasted text are not sent to our servers, and nothing is kept once you close or reload the tab. Results persist only when you copy them or download them yourself.

Requests that reach our servers

Two kinds of requests reach our server. First, when you paste a public video link into a downloader, that link is used to look up available formats and direct addresses; we do not store the link or a history of your requests. Second, ordinary HTTP requests for pages and API calls, which our hosting provider (Google Cloud) records in standard request logs that may contain your IP address, the requested path and your user agent. To limit abuse we also keep a short-lived counter in memory keyed by IP address; it expires automatically and is never written to permanent storage.

Direct links and third-party servers

Downloads are served by the platform that hosts the video, not by us. When a download starts, your browser connects directly to that platform's content servers, which see your IP address and the generated link. Those links are time-limited and usually stop working within a few hours. We do not host, cache or keep any copy of the media.

Cookies and local storage

Before you consent, the site sets no marketing or analytics cookies. We store one item in your browser, toolpouch.analytics-consent.v1, which remembers your analytics choice so we do not ask on every visit. If you allow analytics, Google Analytics 4 may set its own cookies; you can clear them at any time in your browser settings.

Analytics we use

We send page views and a small set of tool events, such as which tool was opened. We do not enable Google Signals or advertising features, advertising storage stays denied, and we strip search terms from the page address before analytics loads so they are never sent. The data is processed by Google as our processor under its own terms.

Advertising and affiliate links

Some links to partner products earn us a commission; they are labelled "Partner tool" or "Sponsored placement". Third-party sites may set their own cookies only after you click such a link, and we do not control those cookies or those sites' privacy practices. The affiliate disclosure explains each relationship.

Your rights and choices

You can withdraw analytics consent at any time from the footer, and further analytics stop immediately. Because we keep no account and no user database, we normally hold no personal data about you to export or delete. If you believe we hold something, for example an entry in a server log, email us and we will respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, and to complain to your local data protection authority. We do not sell personal information.

Children

ToolPouch is not directed at children under 13, or the minimum age required in your country. We do not knowingly collect data from children; if you believe a child has provided data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

When this policy changes we update the date at the top of the page. Material changes are described on this page rather than applied silently.
